Independent Intelligence.
No Apologies.
ZeroPoint FYI is an independent investigative journalism outlet based in San Diego, California. It exists for one reason: to ask the questions that sponsored, advertiser-dependent media can't afford to ask.
Every investigation published here is documented. Sources are cited. Receipts are kept. Nothing runs until it's been researched, verified, and written to hold up.
// What "Independent Intelligence" means
It means no one owns this editorial line. There are no advertisers to protect, no sponsors to appease, no editorial board with a political leaning to maintain. The only obligation here is accuracy.
"Intelligence" in the tradecraft sense: collected, analyzed, documented, and filed. Not opinion. Not hot takes. Investigations with a paper trail.
// The operating model
ZeroPoint FYI runs no ads. It accepts no sponsored content. Analytics are handled by Plausible, a privacy-respecting, cookieless platform that does not build user profiles or sell data. No cookies. No fingerprinting. No surveillance of the people reading an anti-surveillance publication.
This site is funded by the operator out of pocket. That's intentional. The moment outside money enters the equation, so does outside influence.
// What we cover
// The operator
Ryan Ford — San Diego, CA. 25 years in information technology. Founder of ZeroPoint IT, an independent IT consultancy serving small businesses and startups. No journalism school. No masthead politics. Someone who reads primary sources, doesn't accept "no comment" as an answer, and built a platform to publish what he finds.
ZeroPoint FYI is not a hobby. It is a publication with an editorial standard: if it can't be sourced, it doesn't run.
// The mission
Ask the questions mainstream outlets won't. Document what institutions would rather you didn't see. Publish it without permission from anyone who has a reason to stop it.
Redaction is futile.
